Hi, I’m Filippo Murgia— a military aviation photographer with a camera in one hand and one eye always on the sky.

I’ve always been drawn to aircraft — the sound, the speed, the raw power. Over time, that fascination turned into something more: a way to tell stories through photos. Not just of the jets themselves, but of the people who fly them, fix them, and live and breathe military aviation every day.

My work has taken me to bases, flight lines, and hangars, sometimes in the thick of the action, sometimes waiting for that perfect shot as the light hits just right. I try to capture the intensity, the beauty, and the behind-the-scenes moments most people don’t get to see. It’s not always glamorous — there’s a lot of stress, noise, and long days — but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
