Falcon Strike 2022, the Italian Air Force’s major exercise for the year, successfully concluded on November 25th at Amendola Air Force Base, home to the 32° Wing and the primary redeployment site for the exercise. During a two-week period, USAF and RNLAF F-35 aircraft were based in southern Italy, contributing to the exercise’s multinational character.

Falcon Strike serves as a crucial exercise aimed at bolstering interoperability and strengthening military partnerships among the participants. The primary focus is on joint training involving pilots and specialists operating 5th generation F-35 fighters from NATO countries, with an emphasis on integrating both fourth and fifth-generation fighter aircraft. Throughout the exercise, participating Air Forces had the opportunity to refine their tactics, techniques, and procedures while engaging in challenging and realistic scenarios, enhancing their overall readiness and capabilities. This collaborative effort underscores the commitment to maintaining a high level of readiness and cooperation among allied nations.
